Black Friday in 2017 will be on November 24th in the United States.  It always falls on the day after Thanksgiving and although it’s not an official holiday, many businesses are closed during the Thanksgiving weekend.  Black Friday is also known as the start of the holiday shopping season and has gained popularity internationally including in Canada, U.K., and Australia. This year Black Friday comes a few days earlier than in the past few years so that means you’ll have a few extra days to figure out why to buy for your significant other.

When it comes to shopping, many of the top retailers open their doors early on Black Friday and often have special “doorbuster” deals for those that get their early. Black Friday shopping has also extended beyond this day and you can often pick up BF deals as early as Thursday and all the way through Sunday. The following Monday after Black Friday is known as Cyber Monday where many online stores slash their prices. but in recent years many of the Black Friday deals can also be found online.
